I was born in Thornton, near Blackpool. On leaving school I worked for the same company for 20 years, I worked my way up, the day I handed my notice in to say I was leaving to go to Bible College was the day they offered me the Buyer's Job which would have meant travelling around the world to different Trade Fairs, but I knew God was calling me to go Cliff College.

While at Cliff (1994/95) I finished my Local Preacher training, and gained 'Certificate in Biblical & Evangelistic Ministry'. I certainly learnt a lot and have some very happy memories of my time there. I have reconnected with many of the friends from Cliff through Facebook and it's great to be in touch again.

It was while at Cliff I met my husband Steve who was from Cornwall, to be honest we didn't like each other to begin with! Steve managed to get a job in Bradford. We got married in August 1996. We have lived in Bradford apart from four months when we lived in Kilmarnock since we got married.

I was an Exams Officer for Bradford College, but I had to give that up due to problems with my arm, after a few operations, I was told I wouldn't be able to do office work again. I prayed about what I could do and the Lay Worker's job came up in the Halifax Circuit. I applied and have been a Lay Employee since September 2005.

We have one daughter Sarah who left school July 2015 and is now doing an apprenticeship in Business.

I am still a Governor at the Primary School Sarah went to. I enjoy making cards, gardening and I've just joined a Gym!
